What it means

Fewer deals are getting done than a year ago, but prices are holding firm. Co-op contracts were down 25.7% and condo contracts down 20.3% from last September, while the median co-op price rose 3.1% and the average condo price rose 14.8% over the same period. Buyers are also negotiating less: discounts off asking narrowed for both co-ops and condos from August.
